This September, 2018 issue of Applied Metabolics marks the fourth anniversary of this publication. To those who have remained subscribers since its inception, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of my work. As I said on the title page of Applied Metabolics, I have tried to bring you the most up-to-date, evidence-based information about nutrition, exercise science, anti-aging research, supplement truths, fat-loss techniques that work and many other topics. Indeed, this large variety of covered topics is what sets Applied Metabolics apart from other current digital publications--besides the fact that none of those associated other publications can even approach my over five decades of writing and practical real-world experience in bodybuilding, health, and fitness. I will continue to present the most practical information available that will help you to succeed in any physical goals you have, whether that involves bodybuilding, fitness competition, or just getting and staying in top condition. If you are like me, over 40, well in my case considerably past 40, I will continue to inform you of all the best techniques to slow down the aging process and prevent physical and mental degeneration. There is a lot of information out there about this that isn't being relayed to the public, but I will do my best to provide all the information you need about this important topic.
I will also admit that writing, editing, and publishing Applied Metabolics has been, and continues to be a true labor of love. I enjoy doing the very extensive research that goes into everything I write because I always learn something myself in the process. And if there is one thing that I truly love, it's learning new and useful things. As I've repeatedly said in numerous podcasts and interviews, the 35 years I spent as a freelance magazine writer was great while it lasted, but I also greatly enjoy the freedom that comes with producing my own publication. What I mean by that is I no longer am under the restraints that were common in the magazine business. These included advertisers as well as editorial staff, which limited how much truth I could relay to readers. Since I am not involved nor sponsored by any commercial entity, you can be assured that everything you read in Applied Metabolics is 100% unvarnished truth. At times, the science isn't there yet, but that's when my empirical experience of 58 years in the gym comes into play. In short, I know first hand what works for most people and what doesn't. And I will never hold back in telling you this in Applied Metabolics.
Although Applied Metabolics isn . . .
